Welcome to our new computing programme which starts in September 2016. In response to your requests, we are continuing to offer a diverse programme which will suit you whether your skills are at a very basic knowledge or if you want to build on existing skills.

Computing for Beginners

This is for you if you have little or no knowledge of computing. Perhaps you have never used a mouse before or even switched a computer on. You will learn basic word processing, how to surf the internet and how to use email. These popular courses are offered at a variety of times, days and venues, so there should be a class to suit you.



Back by popular demand is our Excel One Day Workshop. This is offered at 'Introductory' level, so if you have never used this software package before this is an appropriate course for you. We are also offering our Excel for Improvers so if you want to know more, this is the course for you.



Having to give presentations and need to use Powerpoint? This course enables beginners to use this software to support you.


Use Your Own iPad for Absolute Beginners

This course will introduce you to the basic functions of your iPad, and give you practical experience of using some of the key features of this innovative tablet.


Use Your Own iPad - Beginners

This course is for you if you want to learn how to use basic apps and to load new ones. You will be shown how to use your iPad to organise emails, notes, messages, your calendar and social networks and also how to keep your iPad safe and secure. You will learn to use the iPad camera effectively and be able to edit your photos and notes.


Use Your Own iPad - Improvers

This course follows on from the 'Beginners' course or, if you already have experience of using your iPad, then this course is for you. You will learn how to use social network apps; shop online; edit and share images, photos and screen shots; write, edit and save documents; synchronise your iPad to your computer, and use cloud storage to access your pc documents and pictures with your iPad.

This is for you if you own a digital SLR camera but have little or no knowledge of how to get the best from it. You will improve your confidence and skill, developing an understanding of how to make modern cameras work for you.
