Welcome to our accredited courses which are offered at various times, days and locations.
If you are interested in enrolling on a GCSE and you are new to studying these subjects with ACRES, you will need to have a pre-course chat with a tutor to ensure you are on the correct level course for you. Please contact us on 01825 761820 and speak to one of our advisers who will be happy to help arrange this.
Our longer courses, such as the GCSEs, are very intensive, so will not allow you to enroll on more than one at a time. There are changes to the specification for Maths and English so please read the course information carefully so that you fully understand the commitment needed to suceed on these courses.
The following accredited courses are offer with ACRES this academic year:
The Award in Education and Training (an initial adult learning teaching qualification)
Whatever your area of expertise, it could be that you are interested in passing on your knowledge through teaching or training adults. The Award in Education and Training offers an introduction to core teaching skills and provides an ideal foundation for progressing into teaching or training. Who knows, when you're qualified, you might want to come and join the ACRES' team.
This course is for students who have not achieved a level 2 (GCSE grade 'C') English qualification, or if you wish to improve your grade. It is suitable as a next step from our Functional English courses. If you've not already got a 'C' grade or above in this qualification, this course is likely to be FREE!
You will develop your mathematical skills leading to the successful completion of the GCSE Mathematics exams to be held in June 2016. If you've not already got a 'C' grade or above in this qualification, this course is likely to be FREE! We are offering this course in Wadhurst as an addition to our previous programme.
