A student in receipt of an eligible benefit on enrolment shall be eligible for fee remission for the whole of the academic year. If a student becomes eligible for tuition fee remission during the academic year, the provider can claim tuition fee remission from the next census date until the end of the academic year: ask the ACRES Office for more details.

Students aged between 16-18 attending courses leading to a qualification will not be charged the fee in brackets, but please refer to the entry concerning examination and assessment fees in the Terms and Conditions. There is no automatic fee remission for 16-18 year olds on other courses, unless they fall into one of the income related categories listed.

There is no charge for students attending Skills for Life Literacy and Numeracy courses.

Students enrolling on English as a Second Languages (ESOL) courses do now have to pay tuition fees unless they are eligible for fee remission, e.g. they receive an income related benefit such as Working Tax credit, when they would only pay exam costs.
