The Adult College for Rural East Sussex (ACRES) was formed in August 2005, bringing together a group of Community Colleges serving the rural areas of East Sussex. The Adult College manages the adult learning programme in Beacon, Hailsham, Heathfield and Uplands Community Colleges, and Uckfield Community Technology College. The management of the College is overseen by a Board made up of the Principals of the Community Colleges and a representative of East Sussex County Council. ACRES’ Mission is to promote and deliver high quality adult learning programmes, across the rural area which it serves, which reflect the value of learning for adults in:
