Various Tutor vacancies

 

ACRES are recruiting the following tutors to teach a weekly course from September 2019 with the possibility of extension to other venues and times throughout East Sussex. You will need to be an expert in your subject, and have experience of teaching and assessment, although we will offer training. The classes could include absolute beginners and/or learners with some experience, moving learners on to advanced classes later on. You will therefore be teaching a mixed ability class with learners of varying levels

 

iPad - any area

Creative Writing - Battle, Heathfield, Hailsham or Crowborough

Digital Photography - Battle, Wadhurst or Heathfield

History of Art/Art Appreciation - any area

Music/Singing - any area

Upholstery - Heathfield (evenings only)

French - most areas

Italian - Uckfield (evenings only), Heathfield or Wadhurst

 

Salary banding: £18,950 - £20,123 pro rata

Hours of work: Sessions will normally last approximately two hours

Fixed term: Courses vary in length but are usually around 5 or 10 weeks

Location: One of the areas as described above, but a willingness to travel to different venues is important.

Functional Skills Maths Tutor

 

ACRES are recruiting a Functional Skills Maths tutor to teach a weekly course from September 2019 with the possibility of extension to other venues and times throughout East Sussex. You will need to be an expert in your subject, and have experience of teaching and assessment, although we will offer training. The classes could include absolute beginners and/or learners with some experience, moving learners on to advanced classes later on. You will therefore be teaching a mixed ability class with learners of varying levels

 

Salary banding: £20,654 - £21,892 pro rata

Hours of work: Sessions will normally last approximately two and quarter hours

Fixed term: Courses vary in length but are usually around 30-32 weeks

Location: Starting in the Uckfield area in the evenings, but a willingness to travel to different venues is important.
