Course overview
An enjoyable day, learning the skills of mosaic making to create your very own house number sign to take home. Materials supplied.
The techniques you gain during the workshop can be developed at home, allowing you to enhance your home decor with stylish and unique mosaic art. This could include wall art, plant pots, table tops. The possibilities are endless once you get started.

When
Saturday, 10:00am - 4:00pm on 11th May 2024 for 1 day.
Registration is from 9:30 am ACRES staff will welcome you and offer a complimentary drink.
Cost
The full fee is £79.00.
What you already need to know
You do not need to have any previous knowledge just come along and enjoy the day.
What you will learn
- How to design your project piece
- Tile cutting and shaping
- Colour sorting and matching
- Assembly of tiles and gluing
- Once hardened, grouting and sealing your piece
How you will learn it
- Tutor demonstration, the tutor will model each stage.
- You will create your first piece under supervision and then apply the skills to create your second piece.
Bring to the first session
An apron or clothing you don't mind getting messy.
The tutor will provide all the materials but please feel free to bring any broken china, ceramic or tiles that you may wish to use in your project. This is an excellent way of preserving memories.
** Please bring a packed lunch as food is not provided at the venue.**
Tea, coffee and biscuits are available for purchase during breaks.
Extra study or practice
This is a craft that can easily be continued and expanded at home.
