Course overview
Transitioning from Peri-Menopause through Menopause can be liberating and empowering. This right of passage offers an opportunity to reset your system, regain your balance and realign your path, to live the life you dream of living. This one-day workshop will offer you practical guidance and a set of AYURVEDA AND YOGA tools to support your individual transition through menopause.

What you will learn
Practical Ayurveda and Yoga Tools to support you through Peri-Menopause and Menopause
- AYURVEDA celebrates the cycle of life through rhythm offering practical tools to help you slow down, honour, nourish and transform menopause, to reconnect with your essence and bring a new balance for the coming years.
- BIHAR YOGA offers a unique set of practices including mantra, asana, pranayama, mudra, bandha, yoga nidra and meditation to direct the energy of transition to support and balance your journey through menopause.
Who is this course for?
This course is open to all. The yoga element is designed to cater for all abilities as you are encouraged to work within your personal movement range. You will be expected to use adjustment for any limitations you have.
We respectfully request that those who have already attended this workshop with ACRES do not attend again to allow more women to benefit from Kim's teaching and the funding allocated to this course. Subject to demand we hope to be able to offer follow on courses in the future.
Course Requirements
All students are required to complete and return a pre-course health questionnaire before the day of the workshop.
How you will learn it
This is a practical course, work being reinforced with demonstration, discussion and hand-outs. For the yoga element, props are used where appropriate and movements are broken down and then layered developing a solid base from which you can progress. You will be encouraged to develop awareness of your body and movement patterns working towards identifying breathing and relaxation techniques which are personally beneficial.
Bring to the first session
Please wear loose comfortable clothing and prepare to remove shoes and socks. Mats or a towel are encouraged to place on the floor and a blanket and/or small cushion is a useful tool.
** Please note: For weekend courses students are asked to bring a packed lunch as lunch is not provided at the venue. Tea, coffee and biscuits are available for purchase during breaks.**
Extra study or practice
The hope is that you will take home and use the knowledge and tools you learn during the workshop to support your individual transition through menopause.
