Course overview

This course will focus on the more creative aspects of photography investigating different genres of photography as well as creative picture making techniques. The course will also develop your compositional skills as well as build upon your camera knowledge and skills. Ideal for those who have attended previous courses but also open to newcomers.

The overall aim of the course will be to help you improve your creativity, inspire you to make more ambitious photographs and develop your confidence with your cameras. You will undertake a variety of assignments to introduce you to various genres of photography before you settle on a choice of genre to develop into a small project with full technical support throughout!

When Tuesday, 6:30pm - 8:30pm from 16th April 2024 until 25th June 2024 for 10 weeks.

There will be no class on 28th May (Half term).
Cost The full fee is £139.00. The concessionary fee is £70.00.

What you already need to know

This course is suitable for beginners and those with some experience of photography.

To make the most of this course, learners need a digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera or mirrorless camera. Bridge cameras can be used, but have reduced functions which can limit the end results.

Extra study or practice

Each week home assignments will be set for you to practise in your own time. Develop your skills learnt in class, followed by a peer-to-peer review to help you improve your skills and creativity even further.
